The product of the dedication of its owners Mónica Belleza and Alfredo Moreira da Silva, Herdade da Matinha is an extension of their personalities and proof of their love for nature and the countryside.
When you arrive you will be surprised by the poems by Eugénio de Andrade and Caetano Veloso printed on the north and east sides of the main house, poems those that appeal to the senses and express the artistic and joyful environment the characterizes Herdade da Matinha.
There are two typical houses from Alentejo that were restored, making for 20 bedrooms and a wide amount of corners made for comfort, privacy and the well-being of its guests.
On Herdade da Matinha everything is made thinking for the guests, from the decoration, to the wide range of activities available, from gourmet meals, to horse rides and on foot, the pool and even the yoga and surf lessons. Children are welcome and have a wide choice of activities available to enjoy be it on Herdade da Matinha or on the surrounding land that goes through the Vicentina Costa.
The famous beaches from the Costa Vicentina like Ilha do Pessegueiro, Porto Covo or Vila Nova de Mil Fontes Are a short distance away and are perfect for a dive on its crystalline waters or for simple walks on the beach.
Herdade da Matinha is also a refuge for those that wish to have contact with nature and enjoy the fresh air. A good book is also a possibility for those that only wish to rest.
